Parallax is rather persistent: like a kind of disease that is highly communicable and treatable, but it isn't ever going to go away. I was going to use another term there but was advised against it! Anyways, Parallax likes to play hopscotch with people's bodies. Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, and a slew of other people have all felt the chilling possession of the manifestation of fear. You would think that the embodiment of fear would be scared of pretty much everything, but instead 'it' wants to make everybody else afraid. Now that I think about it, I bet my ex-girlfriend was possessed by Parallax. Would make sense with all of the screaming and hitting, and her overwhelming need to kick the Spectre's ass.
