You have to respect the Phoenix. Jean Grey was kind of viewed as a push over, but when she got a hold of that Phoenix force things got really out of control. Yeah, the Phoenix can wipe out entire solar systems and rearrange matter on the subatomic level. How exactly do you get a chance to beat that again? I suppose you really don't considering how the 'Dark Phoenix' arc ends. The only way to beat something that strong is to have it beat itself!
