That transition from bulky, oversized Iron suit to a sleeker, more familiar Iron Man suit was a fairly big shift for sly Tony Stark. Of course when you are a brilliant inventor such as he, it is only a matter of time before you want to start making some upgrades! I hear in the upcoming models Tony Stark decides that since he enjoys Star Wars so much, he is going to have that TIE fighter sound effect somehow implemented in the next Iron Man suit design. Other such improvements may or may not include an espresso maker, a hair curler, a floor buffer, one of those alcoholic mixers that makes Long Island Ice Tea and Red Deaths, and a funnel cake machine. They really aren't combat upgrades, but they provide a lot of utility that is hard to quantify.
