Captain America: stayed the #1 movie in the world for a third weekend!
Batman Beyond: Bat-fans were treated to a special treat this week at WonderCon in Anahiem. Animator Darwyn Cooke released an animated Batman Beyond short featuring the original voice actors from the television show: Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne) and Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis).
Fantastic Four: The cast of Josh Trank's FF reboot have been dropping hints that we might not be seeing spandex clad superheroes with the classic 4 emblem on their chests. We may in fact be seeing a much more 'down to earth' take on the characters than in the previous films.
Bryan Singer: has dropped off of all promotions for X-Men:DOFP and his twitter has gone silent in wake of child molestation allegations dating back to 1999.
X-Men/Spider-Man Crossover?!: The mid-credit scene in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is rumored to house a teaser for X-Men:DoFP...but don't get too excited, kiddos. It appears that the scene is not the beginning of a franchise crossover but a cruel ad from SONY/FOX to play with our hearts :-(
Superior No More: Marvel brought Peter Parker back from the dead this week in Superior Spider-Man #31, the final issue of the series. For those that missed out, Peter Parker/Spider-Man's brain was swapped with Doc Ock almost two years ago. Doc Ock's body then died with Parker's mind trapped inside. If you haven't read the series, do yourself a favor and check it out!
Professor X: himself, Patrick Stewart, says he plans to continue playing the role of Professor X after X-Men: DoFP. Will we begin seeing X-Men period films featuring McAvoy acting younger stories and Stewart continues modern stories?
Lou Ferrigno: is set to return in Avengers: Age of Ultron as the voice of the incredible Hulk!
