The Empire is dealt a bad hand in the Star Wars Universe. Sure, they mercilessly destroyed an entire planet in the blink of an eye but it was for a good reason! They were just trying to extract some information from the Princess and she didn't want to comply. What do you mean that's not a reason to blow up a planet?
