What happened to Krypton? They probably had a bitter election between two political candidates with no give and constant 24/7 news coverage. That can destroy a planet, right?

Either way, when the young Kal-El made it to Earth he was adopted by the exceptionally moral Kent family. There, they raised the young alien to have a strong moral compass and to value all life. The best thing? Superman gained immense powers when exposed to a yellow sun...which happens to be ours! What kind of powers does he have? How about flight, nigh invulnerability, x-ray vision, the ability to blast heat-lasers from his eyes, and the ability to blow freezing breath! Oh, and he always punches like a run-away train filled with bricks. His only weakness? Kryptonite...a substance created by the death of his planet...and magic should he ever come across that. He can stop bullets but he's just like the rest of us when it comes to a 5d6 fireball spell!
