Batman Vs Superman Merchandise
After the events of Man of Steel, the world wasn't quite sure what to make of Superman. Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy? Should he just lay off the energy drinks before attempting chiropracty? Superman and another alien from Krypton had just finishing leveling Metropolis as collateral damage from a game of punch-face and well...people weren't quite feeling it as it were. Queue the Batman theme song and bring in Lex Luthor (who happens to look like that guy from the Facebook movie) and BAM! You have yourself Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice! Wait, Batman is going to fight Superman? I see that 'v' in the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in the title! You can't fool me! Unless Batman is bringing Superman to court for property damage and that would just be boring.
Any-who, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice began production shortly after Man of Steel and originally was written by director Zack Snyder and his best buddy David S Goyer but after Ben Affleck was cast as Batman he brought in Chris Terrio(of Argo fame) who helped with some rewrites (presumably to get rid of any vampire Pomeranians that might appear). Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature the first live appearance of both Batman and Superman in the same movie...and a ton of other characters from the way it looks! Word is on the street that we will also be seeing Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash, Aquaman, and maybe even a nod to the Green Lanterns! Say what? Oh yes my friends...it will be glorious. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will pave the way for a unified DC Cinematic Universe which is lovingly referred to as the DCEU for 'DC Expanded Universe'. Everybody loves acronyms, right? Err, I mean E.L.A.
Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Michael Shannon, and Gal Gadot, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for a March 25th, 2016 release.
Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne: The Dark Knight of Gotham, this particular version of Batman is haggard from years of fighting crime and arguing with Matt Damon. Losing assets during the carnage of Man of Steel and witnessing first hand the unchecked destructive powers of Kryptonians, Batman decides to wrangle in the new threat of Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Henry Cavill as Superman: The Last Son of Krypton, Superman has become a symbol of hope to some and a terrible threat to others after the events of Man of Steel. I guess when you are pretty much invulnerable, can fly, and can shoot laser beams out of your eyes it kinda freaks people out. Who would've known?
Amy Adams as Lois Lane: The intrepid reporter and better half of Superman, Lois Lane is a world class investigative journalist for the Daily Planet. Lois acts as a go-between between the characters and is sure to play a large part in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor: Lex Luthor is a billionaire industrialist who turned a failing petrol-company into a technological juggernaut. Gaining a rather unhealthy obsession with Superman and zombies, Lex Luthor is a master manipulator and one of the primary antagonists of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Diane Lane as Martha Kent: The adoptive mother of Superman, Martha Kent is able to ground her son and acts as a moral compass for the Man of Steel. Probably still cleaning up that mess from the first movie would be my guess!
Laurence Fisburne as Perry White: In a world where Morpheus took the Blue Pill, Perry White is the Editor-In-Chief of the Daily Planet and a close ally to Superman. He's use to working with messianic figures.
Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth: Known for fighting Bruce Willis with riddles(isn't that somebody else?), Alfred Pennyworth is the loyal butler to the Batfleck. Alfred consoles Batman to be tempered and reasonable in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice but Batman just had a shot of justice espresso.
Holly Hunter as Senator Finch: A brand new character on the scene, Senator Finch runs a congressional committee to investigate Superman. She's not a very big fan of Superman...and by that statement I mean she hates his freaking guts. Perhaps the government can send Superman a strongly worded letter?
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman: A 5,000 year old Warrior-Princess from a mystically protected island, Wonder Woman is the daughter of Zeus and powerful enough to stand toe-to-toe with Superman. 5,000 years is a long time to be training and she'll probably end up bonking Superman and Batman's head together by the end of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Michael Shannon as Doomsday: He isn't quite General Zod, but a creature of ballistic rage is released by Lex Luthor in order to take down Superman(Lex Luthor has had experience with zombies...and Twinkies). Their chosen arena of combat? Scrabble. No, wait...it was Jenga! Wait, is Batman using a leaf-blower? Cheater!
